Creating Green Jobs in Washington State

The Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations, chaired by Lt. Jerome Ringo of the Apollo Alliance Gov. Owen, center, convened in Vancouver July 10, 2008 to discuss job trends and employment opportunities being created by renewable energy resources such as wind and solar. To the lieutenant governor's right are state senators Cheryl Pflug, Joseph Zarelli, Jim Kastama and Tracy Eide. To his left are state representatives Phyllis Kenney, Mary Skinner, Bob Hasegawa, Dan Roach and Bruce Chandler.   At right is presenter Jerome Ringo, president of the the Apollo Alliance, a coalition or organizations that promote green jobs and clean energy. Presenting below is solar power expert Julia Curtis, director of business strategy and government relations for Sharp Micro Electronics.  Several of the presentations from the meeting are now linked to its agenda.
