Works of Woodinville photographer to go OLYMPIA – Several prints of Woodinville photographer Richard Mitchell will be on display in the office of Lt. Gov. Brad Owen Feb. 1 through April in Room 220 of the Legislative Building (State Capitol). The display will feature landscapes, nature, and
macro photography that capture scenery of the Pacific Northwest.
Working in both film and digital media, many of Mitchell’s prints are
created by “s Prints on display include “Touched by Time”, “Spring Daisy,” “Take Me Under Your Wing,” “Field of Sun” and several others. In addition, several images of Seattle are featured. Mitchell is the proprietor of Touching Light Photography, a member of the North America Nature Photography Association and the Photographic Society of America. In addition to his photography, Richard works in the pharmaceutical industry for a company in Bothell. The works are on display under the auspices of the Lieutenant Governor’s Art Council, which has featured Washington artists in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor since its founding in 1997. Artists are nominated by a review of their works and based on themes chosen by the council. Works and featured artists change each quarter. The council is chaired by Linda Owen, wife of the lieutenant governor. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located in Room 220 of the Legislative Building (State Capitol), 416 Sid Snyder Avenue S.W. in Olympia.
