Lieutenant governor to perform
with Army band in Auburn
Lt. Governor Owen reads to children with Army Band

Lt. Governor Owen will again read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" at the Red, White and Blue Holiday Concert of the 133rd Army Band at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Auburn Performing Arts Center. In the photo above from the 2008 concert, the lieutenant governor is reading the seasonal classic by Clement Clark Moore to children from the audience. A variety of seasonal music is being planned again for this year's community event.

Ugandan Orphans Choir visits lieutenant governor, then performs in Capitol

Lt. Governor Owen shows his office to members of the Ugandan Orphans Choir, who are visiting several cities in Washington as part of their song and dance tour across the Western United States. Learning how innovation, technology help keep the state's economy trucking along

Lt. Governor with PACCAR employee Sean Smith on Kenworth truck plant tour

A tour of PACCAR's Kenworth truck manufacturing plant in Renton was part of the day for Lt. Gov. Owen and members of the Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations on Nov. 5.  In the photo above, the lieutenant governor hears details of plant operation from Sean Smith, facilities engineering manager.  At a meeting at Renton City Hall earlier, the committee learned how the innovation and technology sectors help drive the state economy.
