Brian joined the staff of Lieutenant Governor Owen in July 2005. His career in government includes nearly five years as a program manager within the Web properties group at the Department of Information Services. Prior to that he spent 10 years with the Department of Labor and Industries, where as a public information officer he developed and managed L&I's early presence on the Internet (along with numerous other duties). He has also served as a communications professional at the Health Care Authority, General Administration, the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, the Washington State Senate and the U.S. Senate. In addition to his government experience, Brian worked as a journalist for several newspapers. Brian is a graduate of Washington State University with a B.A. in Communications/Journalism. |
