Washington Sister States

The state of Washington has sister state relationships with Hyogo Prefecture in Japan, the State of Jalisco in Mexico, and Jeollabuk-do Province in the Republic of Korea. The state also has friendship agreements with the Sichuan Province in China and the Pangasinan Province in the Philippines.

These sister relationships can provide a valuable starting point for companies seeking to develop trade and business contacts. Many of our sister relationships also encourage closer ties through cultural, educational, and other programs.
